We just finished up a 12′ x 24′ insulated roof Alumawood patio cover for a great client of ours here in Pahrump.
Recap
This insulated roof Alumawood patio cover had insulated roof panels. There are several benefits to using insulated roof panels on a patio cover, both in terms of comfort and functionality including temperature control in both the summer and winter, dampening noise from rain, wind, and other outdoor sources, provides energy efficiency by reducing the needs for heating and cooling, and it can add value to the property.
Fan Beams
We installed 2 fan beams. A fan beam on an Alumawood patio cover is a reinforcement bracket that supports a ceiling fan and conceals the wiring. Fan beams are required to support the extra weight of a patio cover.
We used the driftwood color. Driftwood is a warm, muted brown with subtle gray undertones, reminiscent of weathered wood found on beaches. This color is commonly used in interior design and fashion for walls, furniture, accents, and clothing. Pairs well with other neutrals like cream, white, and beige, as well as bolder accent colors like blue, green, and yellow. Driftwood exudes natural beauty, tranquility, earthiness, and a touch of rustic charm.
This patio cover is roughly 9′ tall. The ideal height for a patio cover, whether it’s 9 feet or another dimension, depends on various factors, including aesthetics, functionality, better air circulation, can offer more shade coverage, and the specific aesthetics and requirements of the space. a patio cover with a 9-foot height might be more accessible for routine maintenance tasks like cleaning or painting.
We plated the post to the flat work. Plating in the context of a patio cover typically refers to attaching or connecting the patio cover to an existing flat surface, often referred to as flat work. This connection is crucial for several reasons including structural integrity, wind resistance, preventing uplift, minimizing movement and settling, alignment and leveling, avoiding damage to the structure, compliance with building codes, and enhancing longevity.
