A 40′ x 12′ Alumawood insulated shade structure in slate and white colors was installed for a repeat client in Pahrump. The structure features four plated posts on existing flat work, two fan beams, and attachment to the fascia and home. Alumawood’s option to mix colors adds a modern, personalized look to the structure, providing aesthetic benefits. Using contrasting colors creates depth, highlights specific areas, matches the home’s exterior, and adds visual interest. Practical reasons for color mixing include hiding dirt, offering sun protection, and camouflaging specific elements, providing both aesthetic and functional advantages.

The open design of a lattice roof allows sunlight and air to flow through, providing a comfortable and shaded space while still enjoying the natural light. This functionality is ideal for people who want to enjoy the outdoors without being completely exposed to the sun’s harsh rays. The lattice design allows for good ventilation, preventing the buildup of heat, humidity, and moisture.
